Semi-antique 5’7” x 8’6” Persian Qashqai tribal wool rug. Hand-knotted by nomadic weavers of southern Iran, this one-of-a-kind folkloric piece is full of charming character. It showcases a large elongated diamond medallion, a dense field of unique tribal motifs & pictorials, & four lovely corner medallions that echo the center. Its calming color palette includes earthy shades of muted clay / terracotta, muted coral, taupes, raw umber, pewter, beige, dusty pink, peach, & charcoal with striking pops of pine, cornflower blue, & midnight blue throughout. It has a velvety soft low wool pile on wool foundation and is in excellent, clean condition.
